Stuart Hogan is a director in the global forensics and litigation services consulting practice at Baker Tilly. Stuart has specialized in forensic accounting since joining the firm in 2011, having worked in the accounting profession since 1996. He has worked on the evaluation of financial quantum on insurance, litigation and corporate matters involving a range of circumstances including business valuation, warranty and indemnity losses, loss of profit, fraud and professional negligence. Stuart has also carried out accounting reviews including the investigation and reconciliation of funds held by third parties on behalf of Insurers.

Prior to focusing his career in forensic accounting, Stuart worked in general practice providing audit, accounting and general business consultancy services across a broad range of industries.

  • Stuart has been appointed as expert witness and has been involved in the preparation of expert accounting evidence for court, arbitration and mediation, acting for claimants, defendants and as single joint instruction. This also includes attendance at expert meetings, conferences with counsel and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) meetings.
  • Stuart has prepared and presented seminars and training to clients, colleagues and industry bodies on business valuation, warranty and indemnity insurance and business interruption.
