On Oct. 13, 2020, Baker Tilly’s Matt Gilbert participated in a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) panel discussion hosted by the American Bar Association’s Accounting, Cost and Pricing Committee. The discussion covered:

  • Current timeline for CMMC's implementation and what to expect
  • An overview of the concepts behind the CMMC, including a discussion of how to understand what constitutes Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Allowability of the costs incurred by contractors as they work to become compliant.
  • What specifically government contractors are doing now to prepare their supply chains, including small business subcontractors and vendors, for compliance.
