A village needed assistance to facilitate an IT strategic plan and to provide benchmarking data and a high-level analysis of IT vendor services.

Baker Tilly worked with the village to assess their current operations and value for services, including:

  • Completed an analysis of cost for services of the current outsourced IT services provider and reviewed the current contract for enhancements
  • Provided an assessment of the service provider’s role in new projects and strategies
  • Provided benchmarking data and an analysis of IT vendor services
  • Completed a study of comparable municipalities (both those using outsourced providers and those providing the services internally) to allow comparison against comparable municipalities
Results achieved

Baker Tilly developed a three-year IT strategic plan that the village used as a road map for IT services. We also recommended a tightening of contract oversight procedures and a reconsideration of vendor contract costs.
