Unlocking the elements to HUD's Green and Resilient Retrofit Program

Baker Tilly's housing leader Don Bernards, alongside Dominion Due Diligence Group's Rob Hazelton and Stephen Evanko, provide an in-depth dive into HUD’s Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP). This groundbreaking program has substantial funding to support green and resilient retrofits of certain properties participating in HUD’s Multifamily Assisted Housing programs. Through the Inflation Reduction Act, HUD was provided $837.5 million in grant funding and $4 billion in loan authority for this new program.

This is the first time HUD has ever invested at the same time in utility efficiency, renewable energy generation and climate resilience strategies in HUD Multifamily Assisted Housing. If you are a Public Housing Authority or an owner or developer of section 8 properties, this on-demand discussion of a landmark funding level is for you.
