Hikers climb a rocky path

The US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued comprehensive grant reform rules called Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance) in December 2013. These rules were effective for new federal awards and changes to funding increments issued after December 26, 2014. While your organization has been implementing these changes over the last year, the single audits to test compliance with these changed requirements are just beginning.  During this session, we discussed the following changes:

  • Major programs to be audited
  • Revised OMB compliance requirements
  • Common Uniform Guidance audit findings and tips to avoid
  • Federal audit clearinghouse report submission process
