Robotic Arm-Assisted Knee Surgery: An Economic Analysis

Authored by Keith Needham

This peer-reviewed publication highlights several core strengths of Baker Tilly's life sciences consulting practice such as technical writing, real world evidence (RWE) research and design methodology, academically accepted application of statistical analysis and therapeutic area diversity. Given the shift from volume to value, companies now are required to demonstrate their product confers a value in order to obtain favorable coverage decisions and this analysis is a prototype of how we help clients achieve this end through the provision of scientifically credible analyses in respectable journals.  This publication will help facilitate the story around the use of RWE to support a company’s value proposition to payers. With additional payment methodologies moving from fee-for-service to fee-for-value, institutions are pushed to understand the economic benefit of a product post-surgery.
