Baker Tilly delivers biohealth industry report on behalf of BioForward

Baker Tilly analyzed the impact of the biohealth industry within the State of Wisconsin on behalf of BioForward. As the leading association for the biohealth industry in Wisconsin, BioForward defines biohealth as the intersection of biotech, biopharma, medical device, diagnostics, healthcare systems, digital health, and research institutions. The report includes information on six core sectors of the biohealth industry: Bioscience-related distribution, drugs and pharmaceuticals, research, testing and medical laboratories, medical devices and equipment, digital health and healthcare providers. In addition to direct industry impact, BioForward asked Baker Tilly to analyze data on the manufacturing industry in Wisconsin supplying to the biohealth industry. This data was intended to analyze how Wisconsin’s more traditional manufacturing base is impacted by the growth in Wisconsin’s biohealth industry. Data was compiled in consultation with BioForward and WEDC. The study reflects data from 2014 through 2017, the most recent year available.
