
Thomas Komow is a managing principal in Baker Tilly's valuation practice. As a managing director for Baker Tilly’s valuation practice, Tom’s primary areas of expertise include IRC 409A and ASC 718 stock option valuations, ASC 820 fair value measurement, intangible asset valuations, goodwill impairment testing, complex derivative valuation and audit support surrounding valuation issues. Tom’s experience spans a variety of industries including high-tech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, construction and service-related fields. In addition to his educational background in finance, Tom has experience in corporate finance, including the management of corporate investments, liquidity and foreign exposure. He also has experience with customer service and wealth management.
Prior to joining the firm, Tom worked in the Treasury Department at Cubist Pharmaceuticals where he gained valuable insight regarding investment portfolio allocation, financial modeling and fair value reporting.
