Rachel’s responsibilities include managing internal audit and MAR engagements, performing financial examinations, internal control processing examinations, accounting and process improvement services. She has worked on multiple internal audit and MAR related engagements.
Specific experience
- Manages outsourced internal audit engagements for various insurance industry clients
- Conducted advisory engagement assisting a large life insurance organization in improving MAR related activities and identifying efficiencies through control rationalization and testing approaches
- Performed internal audit engagements for a property and casualty (P&C) insurance company, evaluated internal controls and provided recommendations on best practices and improvement to the control environment
- Acted as participating examiner on multiple P&C NAIC risk focused examinations for various insurance departments
- Acted as a participating examiner for a large life insurance NAIC risk focused examination
- Performed a number of SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements
- Assisted a state insurance department on a detailed review of derivatives and reinsurance for a large insurance company
