Josh Din is a tax partner and Baker Tilly’s leader of tax technology and automation practice. He specializes in implementing leading-edge tax technology solutions and practical strategies on tax function best practices by optimizing data, process, technology and people.

Josh has been providing tax services and driving transformation through market-leading tax technology capabilities for more than 14 years. He has extensive experience in leading and advising on enterprise-wide tax transformation efforts for Fortune 500 multinationals. His areas of expertise and focus include implementing self-service data automation tools and analytics (Alteryx, Microsoft Power Query, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.), robotics process automation, third-party tax provision software and workflow (ONESOURCE, CSC Corptax, Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud, etc.), and tax data management and platform design (ERP data optimization for tax). Josh’s tax technical expertise and knowledge of leading software technologies, coupled with his creativity and experience working with large and complex multinational tax departments, allows him to provide a unique perspective on tax function best practices and solutions to his clients.

  • Advises clients on tax function operational strategy, technology roadmap development, and global operating model design and structure including business process outsourcing, co-sourcing and shared service center design
  • Extensive experience in working with multinational corporations providing income tax accounting process services to clients in various industries
  • Forecasting global effective tax rates and management of GAAP and Non-GAAP EPS impacts and in tax reporting design and Implementation, including system implementations and technology-enabled solutions with improved control managed processes that optimize the aggregation and enrichment of data to facilitate tax calculations and analytics
  • Experienced in all aspects of ASC740 reporting including quarterly and annual SEC/US GAAP rules and regulations
  • Certified implementer of Thomson Reuter’s ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) tool
  • Certified Alteryx core designer
