DJ Wesely

DJ Wesely is a director with Baker Tilly’s enterprise transformation and digital solutions practice who has been with the firm since 2013. DJ specializes in large-scale project and transformation initiatives with a focus on providing leadership from strategy and planning through execution. He has worked with a variety of clients across industries and offers broad experience planning, executing and managing large-scale strategic transformation projects.

  • Led the strategy, development, and day-to-day operations of a program to distribute over $300 million of C.A.R.E.S Act funding to the largest tribe in the U.S., successfully launching the program in under three weeks and building an organization of over 700 support resources
  • Led the redesign of and took over the leadership of program management and change management office supporting a multiyear transformation initiative with a budget in excess of $50 million at a major government contractor
  • Assessed the program and project management functions for a health insurance client and developed a roadmap to redesign and transform their governance and program management capabilities
  • Provided program and project management support for the expansion of a major utility self-service website to eliminate dependency on third-party providers and enhance the customer experience
  • Managed an assessment and developed a roadmap for and overarching finance transformation initiative for a more than five billion dollar global food processing client
  • Managed the evaluation and selection process to identify a new tool to support consolidation/close, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and management reporting processes at a large global client
  • Led the development of a data-driven member segmentation model to increase engagement with a major health plan
  • Led implementation of a marketing automation software at one of the largest integrated healthcare payer/providers in the United States; managed all aspects of the program from strategy to implementation through to launch of marketing campaigns
  • Led an assessment of information technology (IT), finance, human resources (HR), and administration functions at a higher education client as part of an overall restructuring and reorganization of the system
  • Managed several functional areas for the integration of an e-commerce subsidiary to its parent company, aligning people, process and systems
  • Led project and change management for suppliers, merchandising, customer care and operations including development, execution and tracking of associated project plans
  • Developed overall change management strategy for large-scale business transformation and consolidation effort with a Fortune 500 wholesale distributor; developed framework for aligning change efforts with the overall project strategy across all key stakeholders; and specific activities included developing change management templates, launching a communication council and communication plan and initiating a change network
  • Supported key functional areas as a change partner for planning and executing a business transformation initiative at a Fortune 500 wholesale distributor
  • Managed a communications team in the planning, development and execution of over 1,000 communication artifacts that were delivered to thousands of customers, suppliers and internal associates of a Fortune 500 wholesale distributor over the course of two years
  • Led detailed planning and execution of core change management deliverables including stakeholder analysis, impact analysis, change risk analysis, communications and training planning for the organization’s customers, suppliers as well as the sales, customer care, marketing, pricing and merchandising functions
  • Participated in gathering business requirements and facilitating vendor selection for a financial system implementation for a manufacturing and distribution association
