How collaborations create opportunities to advance your organization’s mission and goals

As not-for-profit organizations experience increased challenges, such as attracting and retaining talent, raising philanthropic and grant funding and maintaining service delivery, the environment in which today’s tax-exempt entities operate creates opportunities to think creatively as you look to meet your mission and enhance the value provided to your community. This session will address the opportunities associated with creative collaborations, including when to consider a unique joint venture, types of collaborations that may be appropriate and beneficial for organizations and how a strategic combination may provide an opportunity to achieve more, along with the tax implications of such decisions.

  • Karen Gries, CPA, Director, Tax-Exempt Advisory, Baker Tilly
