Baker Tilly names Thomas Walker Central US Managing Partner

CHICAGO (May 17, 2023) – Leading advisory CPA firm Baker Tilly US, LLP (Baker Tilly), announces the appointment of Thomas Walker as managing partner - Central U.S. effective June 1. In this new role, Walker will oversee the firm's operations and growth strategy in the central region of the United States which includes the firm’s geographic markets in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas and Wisconsin.

As the newly appointed managing partner - Central U.S., Walker will continue his role as Illinois Managing Partner, a position he has held since 2012. He will lead both the central region and the Illinois practice. Additionally, Walker will remain a managing director for Baker Tilly Capital, LLC, the firm's wholly owned private investment banking subsidiary.

Walker joined the firm in 2007 after serving as chief administrative officer and general counsel of a federal savings bank. Before joining the federal savings bank, Walker was a partner with a leading midwest law firm where his areas of practice included mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, senior secured and mezzanine financing, private placements of securities and tax planning.

Walker joins Steve Milner, managing partner - Western U.S., and Fred Massanova, managing partner - Eastern U.S., in leading the firm’s geographic markets.
