HUD Notice 2018-04: Rethink your recapitalization strategy

HUD Notice 2018-04: Rethink your recapitalization strategy

In March, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development posted Notice PIH 2018-04 which contains a provision creating new possibilities for public housing agencies contemplating recapitalization, including Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversions and other strategies. The policy updated the allowable justifications for disposition, essentially green-lighting a Section 18/RAD blend and creating additional opportunities you should consider in any recapitalization strategy.

Listen to this webinar for an overview of the new options available to you through Notice 2018-04. The presenters explored potential outcomes of the various strategies introduced by the provision and provide an overview of key things to consider. Rob Hazelton, President and CEO of Dominion Due Diligence Group, joined us to explain the process for qualifying and documenting a rehabilitation project under Notice 2018-04.
