Best strategies for real estate developers to structure EB-5 projects for compliance

The Voice of EB-5 episode featuring Thomas Martin

The United States Congress created the employment-based immigration fifth preference (EB-5) visa category in 1990 for qualified foreigners seeking to invest in a business, including real estate, that will benefit the US economy and create or save jobs for U.S. workers. The program is administered by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and gives investors an opportunity to rapidly obtain a green card in exchange for making a qualifying, job-creating investment in the U.S.

In this Voice of EB-5 podcast episode, Thomas Martin, managing director at Baker Tilly, discusses how the firm helps guide real estate developers through USCIS compliance and how they can remain attractive to investors.

We really are the first call that's made and we're happy to be there in that initial role of helping folks to put their EB-5 project together.
