Leveraging years of experience in public accounting and venture capital, Travis provides assurance and financial consulting services to Baker Tilly’s clients, particularly emerging market companies. Travis leads the growth of Baker Tilly’s software and technology practice in New England and contributes to the growth and success of New England’s life sciences practice. With a focus on emerging market companies in New England, Travis’ customers represent many industries and sub-industries such as software and SaaS, robotics, additive manufacturing (3D printing), consumer products (CPG), e-commerce and retail, fin-tech, and green-tech and energy solutions, among others.

As an audit and assurance partner, Travis oversees the issuance of audit reports for privately held companies across all stages of development – from start-up to billion-dollar market values. Travis also oversees the issuance of publicly traded company filings and has experience with IPOs and other registration events such as SPAC mergers.

Before merging with Baker Tilly in December 2021, Travis spent 20 years with The MFA Companies and was the firm’s partner-in-charge of assurance. Prior to his tenure with MFA, Travis developed an intimate knowledge of the venture capital industry and honed his public accounting knowledge for six years before that at a local Boston firm.

Travis is passionate about startups and entrepreneurial businesses with innovative business models and new market solutions. In addition to his contributions at Baker Tilly, Travis is a co-founder of The Startup Coalition where he and his Coalition colleagues seek to help early-stage founders manage their path to success.
