
Stacy Cowan is a director with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice.
Stacy has been providing forensic accounting services to legal, corporate, insurance, and public-sector clients for more than 15 years. She has worked on a wide range of engagements across numerous industries, analyzing complex financial data to quantify damages in the context of dispute resolution. Stacy has extensive experience assessing damages related to breach of contract, tort claims, insurance litigation and subrogation, as well as personal injury and fatal-accident matters. In addition, Stacy supports clients of all sizes with comprehensive financial investigations, including uncovering irregularities, tracing assets, and providing clear, defensible findings to support legal and strategic decision making.

- Insurance experience quantifying claims related to business interruption, extra expenses, builder’s risk, cyber, product liability, crime/fidelity, third party losses and stock valuations
- Experience working with several industries, including but not limited to, healthcare, higher education/universities, complex manufacturing, energy, marine, construction, real estate, food and beverage processing, and viticulture/wine production

- Stacy has been deposed and testified at trial in federal court. She also routinely assists attorneys with depositions and trial preparation as a consulting expert. In addition, Stacy participates as an expert witness at the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.
