Rose Ann Abraham, is a partner with Baker Tilly, joined the firm in 2006.

Rose Ann has nearly 20 years of public accounting experience. She specializes in Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audits. She is also an active member of the Illinois CPA society’s Employee Benefits Committee, Conference Content Advisory Board and frequently speaks at industry conferences.

Rose Ann is a passionate supporter of diversity and inclusion and works both internally and externally to promote the cause within organizations. She is a leader for Baker Tilly’s diversity and inclusion initiative, SOAR (supporting opportunity, advancement and recognition for all). A strong believer in the power of mentorship, Rose Ann is also a board member of Step Up (suwn.org), Midwest region. The organization is dedicated to empowering girls to achieve their unique visions of success through structured programs, focused support and inspiring connections.

  • Member of the technical leadership team of Baker Tilly’s EBP practice
  • Leads Illinois employee benefit plan practice, managing the audits of approximately 130 employee benefit plans of various sizes
  • Member of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plans Committee that provides technical guidance, designs and implements firm wide training, tools and templates, marketing initiatives and external marketing campaigns
  • Provides auditing services to all types of employee benefit plans, including 11-K, ESOP and health and welfare plans
  • Active member of the Illinois CPA Society Employee Benefit Committee whose charge is to monitor developments affecting employee benefit plans in the areas of accounting and financial reporting, auditing, Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Code rules and regulations and to enhance members’ understanding and promote their compliance in these areas
  • Active member of the Illinois CPA Society Employee Benefit Plan Content Advisory Task Force – the task force works with the Illinois CPA Society to bring together industry leaders and experts to provide informed, engaging presentations on timely and relevant topics
  • Speaker at several state society and organizational conferences including the Illinois Summit, Illinois Employee Benefits Conference, Wisconsin State Society Employee Benefits Conference, Stafford Publications webinar, and Financial Executives International - Chicago Chapter
  • Board member of the Illinois Board of Examiners (September 2020 - current) leading the Diversity Committee, connecting with students, faculty, and organizations to further the profession and CPA program
  • Member of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancies (NASBA) and volunteer on its Diversity Committee
