Rob has supported multiple clients in the government contracting sector as a consultant, controller, and financial planning manager where he has participated in financial system selections, upgrades, implementations, financial management, financial reporting enhancements, and budgeting and planning process improvements.

  • Led system implementation activities within multiple workstreams through the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases for a leading Fortune 500 government contracting firm. Applied subject matter expertise to the project, account, and org design and related configurations to meet the requirements of highly sophisticated cost accounting practices. 
  • Assessed current state and facilitated requirements gathering workshops with multiple cross-functional teams to support ERP selection processes for complex government contractor. 
  • Developed functional design documentation for multiple system implementations. 
  • Led data conversion, migration and business process reengineering efforts for two strategic acquisition integrations to Deltek Costpoint. 
  • Led multiple cross-functional training initiatives in support of system upgrades, process redesigns and departmental reorganizations. 
  • Provided IBM Cognos TM1 implementation support including the design, construction, and delivery of reporting templates and forecasting interfaces as well as integration with Costpoint. 
  • Designed new organization, account and project structures in Deltek Costpoint to support a corporate restructuring that separated a company from one legal entity to four. 
  • Supported the financial reporting, analysis and planning initiatives of various business units at a large government contracting firm. 
  • Streamlined financial close and planning processes through procedural changes, system optimizations and staff reassignment.
