Rachel Polson is a partner with Baker Tilly’s commercial services group and has been with the firm since 1997. She is the leader of our software and technology practice. Rachel works with a variety of clients from development stage to public reporting (SEC) companies. She is also the firmwide leader of our software and technology group. Her industry focus areas are software and technology, private equity funds, broker-dealers and professional services. In 2009 and 2014, Rachel was recognized as one of the “Top Women in Finance” by Finance and Commerce. In 2011, Rachel was recognized as one of the “Women to Watch” for Women in Business by Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

  • Serves software and technology companies at all stages, from launch through exit
  • Serves as partner in charge on numerous SEC reporting clients and privately held companies
  • Possesses in depth knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and compliance
  • Experience with equity transactions including proper accounting treatment of stock options, stock warrants and equity financing
  • Provides merger and acquisition support through due diligence work
  • Prepares forecasting models for internal client use and use in financing transactions
