
Nicholas is a director with Baker Tilly’s CFO advisory practice.
Nicholas brings more than 10 years of experience providing accounting advisory and financial reporting services to large public and private companies. He has extensive experience leading high-profile, multi-workstream engagements involving acquisitions, carve-outs, pro forma reporting and other complex accounting matters. His experience includes purchase accounting, carve-outs, discontinued operations, pro forma reporting, and financial reporting. He has also led internal initiatives involving knowledge sharing, tool development and technical training.
- Advises clients on Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 805 business combinations, including purchase accounting, balance sheet bridges, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) purchase price calculations and coordination with valuation specialists
- Leads carve-out and standalone financial statement engagements, including basis of presentation assessments, technical accounting whitepapers and audit-ready support
- Evaluates discontinued operations under ASC 205, including identification, measurement and presentation of assets, liabilities and results of operations and financial reporting matters
- Assesses operating segments and reporting units under ASC 280, ASC 350
- Serves as a technical accounting advisor to senior finance leadership and auditors on complex, time-sensitive public-company matters
- Builds scalable templates, tools and documentation that improve engagement quality, consistency and efficiency across technical accounting engagements
