Matt Jeffries is a partner in the tax practice of Baker Tilly.
Matt specializes in tax planning, compliance and consulting for privately held businesses and their owners in the manufacturing distribution industry. He has extensive experience developing and implementing integrated tax saving and business improvement strategies.
His primary disciplines include federal and state tax compliance for multistate corporations and partnerships, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and consolidated corporate filings.
- Develops and implements tax saving strategies to help businesses and their owners manage tax cash flow
- Works with senior management and business owners on the development of business/tax strategy
- Experience with federal and state tax compliance and consulting for multi-location and private equity-owned clients in the manufacturing, distribution, energy, food and beverage, restaurant, retail and service industries
- Provides tax compliance services for businesses and individuals
- Assists with implementing tax saving strategies for businesses and their owners, including: application of tax accounting methods, designing and implementing tax efficient structures, application of federal and state tax credits, application of export incentives
- Provides consulting for research tax credits
- Advises clients on tax aspects of transactions
