Matt Day is a director with Baker Tilly’s CFO advisory services practice. He focuses on large project management and execution, quality of strategy services, and both strategic and operational improvement projects.
Beginning his post MBA career with a global management consulting company, Matt spent four years in the operations practice as an associate and engagement manager, with consulting experience in Asia, Europe, Canada and the U.S. At Baker Tilly, Matt’s mission is to help clients maximize value, realize rapid profitable growth and remove inefficiencies. With his relentless drive for improvement, passion for innovation, strong client leadership and financial savvy. Matt identifies and builds the solutions and relationships necessary to deliver meaningful results across all levels of an organization. He is highly fluent in Mandarin Chinese and spent five years living and doing business in China.
At Baker Tilly since 2016, Matt has led more than 40 client projects focused on market entry strategy, “quality of strategy” diligence work and voice of customer/competitive analysis. Matt also has extensive experience leading project teams to drive operational improvements and strategic innovations from a variety of positions, including as an internal PMO team lead, a project management consultant, and as a general manager driving double digit growth in an overseas market. He has worked extensively in manufacturing, transportation and logistics, importing/exporting, real estate, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and insurance.
