
Keith Catlow is a principal with Baker Tilly’s tax practice. He has more than 20 years of public accounting experience. Keith conducts financial analysis and provides accounting standards codification (ASC) 740 audit support, tax compliance and tax consulting services for public, privately held, flow-through, multistate and multinational companies across different industries, including consumer markets, energy, technology, real estate and manufacturing
- Extensive knowledge of ASC 740, ASC 718, ASC 740-10 tax accounting rules and federal income tax rules in the tax compliance area
- Led large, cross-functional tax compliance projects for multinational, multistate corporations including preparation/review of consolidated federal tax returns, combined state tax returns and foreign reporting forms for various entity types including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies
- Collaborates with international tax, valuation services, tax credits and incentives, and state and income tax specialists in delivering comprehensive tax compliance, tax planning and tax consulting services for large, multinational clients
- Worked with clients on the preparation of annual and quarterly income tax provisions and tax footnote disclosures for public and private companies
- Oversaw tax transformation projects, which included complete redesign of the tax provision and compliance process and redesign of tax controls
- Assisted clients with representation in front of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and various state tax examinations. Included drafting response and defending tax positions
