John is a director with Baker Tilly’s real estate and construction team. He performs valuations and appraisal reviews primarily related to mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax/estate planning, bankruptcy reorganization and litigation support.
- Assisted clients with a wide variety of valuations for financial reporting primarily related to business combinations (ASC 805), goodwill impairment (ASC 350), and long-lived impairments testing (ASC 360)
- Assisted in the valuation of companies, which consist of, but are not limited to the following industries: pharmaceutical, life sciences, wineries/vineyards, telecom and media, chemical, hospitality, retail, and airlines
- Performed valuations of real and personal property assets for tax and financial reporting, fresh start accounting, insurable values, litigation disputes, divestitures, cost segregation, and purchase price allocations associated with mergers and acquisitions
- Led real property valuations and appraisal reviews for international and domestic structured lease transactions, tax appeal, strategic financial planning, and financial reporting under various U.S. GAAP statements, IAS and IFRS
