James Zapata is a partner with Baker Tilly’s client accounting services practice, specializing in Sage Intacct. He is a hands-on CPA with more than two decades of progressive accounting experience across a variety of industries, including professional services, SaaS and technology, oil and gas, construction, real estate, manufacturing and healthcare.
James’ key responsibilities include project management, audit readiness, evaluation of accounting and finance business functions, policies and procedures, as well as, developing and implementing integrated accounting systems. He is also responsible for general business consulting, including accounting, payroll processing, benefit plans, cash flow forecasting, management reporting packages, payroll tax filings, preparation of financial statements and budgeting. He has an eye for process design and regularly advises on quality control efforts to standardize office procedures and produce organized, clear financial statements that deliver actionable insights for business owners and CFOs.
