
Jim is an audit principal in Baker Tilly’s healthcare practice. He has focused on providing services tailored to the specific needs of the firm’s rural healthcare clients for more than 15 years. He oversees financial audits and single audits for numerous hospitals and health systems, including critical access hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and other not-for-profit organizations as well as foundations. Jim has also been deeply involved with reimbursement enhancement projects for the firm’s critical access hospitals. These projects include 340B Maximization, Rural Health Clinic establishment, Medicaid DSH enhancement, Medicare bad debt capture and organizational restructuring.
- Oversees financial audits for numerous hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities and other not-for-profit organizations

- Presents financial and audit reports to client boards and committees
- Provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures to improve the operation of the accounting function and strengthen internal controls
