
Fred is Baker Tilly’s chief operating officer (COO) and the North American managing principal. Fred serves on Baker Tilly’s board of principals and leads the firm’s operating model, aligning industry, geography and service line teams to optimize performance and maintain firmwide alignment. He provides strategic support to the firm’s chief executive officer (CEO) and ensures consistent execution across operations, delivery and firm initiatives. Fred directs the firm’s North American market and oversees the manufacturing and distribution, technology, life sciences, construction, real estate, professional services, healthcare, higher education and private wealth teams. He brings deep expertise in auditing and advising technology companies, service organizations, specialty finance and private equity firms.
- Strategy: Responsible for the execution of strategy across the East region which covers the major metropolitan areas of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., and also provides strategic leadership and support to four managing partners across those metro regions.
- Growth and profitability: Responsible for the growth within the region including focus on brand recognition, growth strategies, the market, service and industry development across the region.
- Expansion: Provides guidance and assistance with identifying opportunities for acquisition or
- People: Responsible for and assisting with identifying the people needs of the region in compliance with firm personnel policies and procedures and regional financial goals. The regional managing partner (RMP) promotes culture, inclusion and belonging consistent with the firm’s goals, as set forth by people solutions. The RMP also promotes culture and works with applicable leaders regionally and nationally to assure that the Value Architect goals are promoted and adopted in the services we provide. The RMP has the primary responsibility and authority to recommend to the Compensation Committee, where applicable, the compensation for the partners and employees for the Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. markets.
