David Perzov is an assurance partner with Baker Tilly. He has more than 14 years of experience specializing in audit, internal control, technical accounting, valuation, and capital market activity for public and privately held real estate companies. David has assisted real estate companies of all sizes and stages within the business cycle.
- Led and completed audits for numerous real estate companies including SEC registrants and private partnerships
- Significant experience assisting clients in understanding the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act Section 404
– Facilitated the initial development, implementation, and testing of internal controls over financial reporting
– Advised clients on best practices utilized by leading real estate companies - Expertise in the application of accounting pronouncements, regulatory rules, and guidelines most relevant to the real estate industry
– Advised clients on the specifics of lease accounting, revenue recognition, business combinations and purchase price allocations, variable interest entities, impairment, and valuation
– Assisted companies with transitions from historical cost reporting to fair value frameworks under U.S. GAAP and IFRS - Extensive experience with SEC reporting requirements including client filings of initial public offerings (Form S-11), annual reports (Form 10-K), quarterly filings (Form 10-Q), and various registration statements (Forms S-3, S-4, and S-8)
