Chris, managing partner and financial services industry leader, has been with Baker Tilly since 2004. As the firm’s financial services industry leader, Christine is focused on growth, innovation and development of asset management, banking and insurance sectors. She has been working exclusively with financial institutions since 1986. In 2012, Chris was elected to the firm’s board of partners and has served on the firm’s executive compensation, investment, risk and SEC committees. Chris was also a founding member of the firm’s women’s initiative, GROW. She was the managing partner of the New York Region from 2016 - 2021 and has been the managing partner and firm practice leader of the financial services practice since 2018.

  • Serves as the partner-in-charge on numerous investment advisor, hedge funds, investment partnership and bank audit and advisory engagements
  • Experienced in SEC accounting matters and filings including initial public offerings
  • Assists clients in the implementation and compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and Section 36 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • Experienced in accounting for acquisitions and performing due diligence procedures
  • Provided leadership, management and strategic direction for the New York business unit, including client service, staff retention and recruiting, and profitability
  • Oversees the strategic direction of the firm’s financial services practice, including talent and resource management; compensation and performance appraisal systems; client service delivery; acceptance and retention; billing and collections; budgeting; new business development and product and service innovation
  • Provides insight and guidance on the firm’s SEC practice as it relates to client acceptance and retention
  • Participates in the firm’s merger and acquisition activities including due diligence, culture assessment and, as it relates to transactions with financial services companies, the operational integration
