
Bertha currently serves as the Employee Benefit Plan Services practice leader and oversees audit quality, staffing and engagement management, and client services. She has extensive experience directing all phases of audits for a variety of benefit plans, including 401(k), 403(b), pension, employee stock ownership, and health and welfare benefit plans. She has also worked with several SEC 11-K clients. Bertha has also served on the firm's Executive Committee as a board member.
Bertha's Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) expertise includes the specialized knowledge required for audits, Form 5500s, and related filings. She provides various consulting services related to the ERISA industry and is knowledgeable on Department of Labor (DOL) requirements while they’re still in the proposal and discussion stage. In past roles, Bertha has served as a leader in the firm’s Assurance Practice.
