  • Extensive experience in GAAP financial statement preparation including related disclosures
  • Deep experience with private equity and ventured capital-backed companies, investor owned, and closely held companies
  • Experience with filings with the SEC (10-K's, 10-Q's, S-1, S-3 and S-8)
  • Experience with client management and audit committees on complex and recently issued accounting standards including related reporting requirements
  • Advisory experience and deep understanding through consultations within technical areas of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) standards such as revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, revenue from contracts with customers, capitalization of software development costs, equity transactions and complex capital raises, stock compensation, and business combinations
  • Perform risk assessment procedures on internal controls and provide assistance with improving controls over financial reporting
  • Perform audit readiness assessments for evolving businesses
  • Assist professional practice group with firmwide technical training
  • Experience related to testing controls and process documentation on Sarbanes-Oxley 404 projects
  • Collaborates on each attest engagement to ensure the performance of the audit plan is tailored to each specific client to create an effective approach while maintaining open communication
