With more than 15 years of public accounting experience, Al specializes in providing audit and advisory services to hospitals and health systems throughout the Western Pennsylvania tristate area, with a focus on leading complex financial audit engagements. He has experience with numerous types of financial and compliance audits and has also assisted many clients with the adoption of various new accounting pronouncements.
- Provides a variety of accounting, internal control and industry-related assistance and advice to the firm’s healthcare clients
- Provides guidance on accounting policies and procedures to improve the operation of the accounting function and strengthen internal controls
- Assists clients in researching technical accounting issues and implementing new accounting standards
- Presents financial and other relevant industry information to boards of directors and audit committees
- Serves as chair of the professional standards committee for the firm’s healthcare practice
- Presents at annual healthcare audit training and various webinars for clients throughout the year
