Leadership matters: Superintendents' response to COVID-19

The following reports are intended to supplement Baker Tilly's analysis of the survey conducted with Minnesota school superintendents asking about lessons learned from managing responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey was open from April 30 through May 12, 2020, and was completed by 78 participants, representing a diverse variety of Minnesota school districts.

In the words of one superintendent in the trenches, “It is important for school district leaders to be a source of strength and hope during a crisis for faculty, staff, students and parents. Sharing this belief together, we can accomplish great things.”
