James Stanbury is a partner with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice. With more than 25 years of forensic accounting and financial investigative experience focused on the quantification of damages across a range of personal and commercial litigation matters.

James has been instructed as an expert witness for claimants and defendants on numerous occasions and is regularly appointed as a single joint expert. He has given evidence in the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division (including the Commercial Court and Technology and Construction Court)), Lands Tribunal, in International Arbitration and to the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva

James has participated in seminars to clients and to colleagues on various topics including the measurement of damages. He has published articles in legal journals regarding the role of experts, the measurement of damages and valuation matters
