Client background

Founded in 1975, Thrasher Group helps homeowners preserve and improve the value of their homes using patented basement waterproofing and structural repair solutions. Additionally, Thrasher Group provides concrete leveling and repair, egress window installation and crawl space repair, all with industry-leading products, installation techniques and warranties. Thrasher serves Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and Colorado from its headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.

The business challenge

Thrasher Group was expanding from one location to eight within five years, almost doubling its workforce. However, the company’s disparate systems for human resources, customer relationship management (CRM), finance and inventory failed to keep pace with the rapid growth. Extensive customizations included systems such as Salesforce, QuickBooks, Fishbowl and Concur that were no longer functioning as expected for Thrasher Group’s 500 users.

Our current systems are not talking to each other, which not only creates a lot of manual effort, but also leads to concerns that we are lacking a single source of the truth with our business information. I don’t have an in-house IT department, so working with [Baker Tilly Digital] that has quickly identified a uniform solution that will stay ‘evergreen’ as we grow, is the right decision.
Britta Durow, IT Manager, Nebraska-based Thrasher Group

Strategy and solution

Baker Tilly Digital has significant experience in the deployment of unmodified software using IFS’s extensive internal tools to adapt solutions without changing core code. Baker Tilly Digital quickly identified a uniform solution that will stay ‘evergreen’ as Thrasher Group grows and configured the lead management and appointment handling functionality using IFS’s customer engagement toolkit, seamlessly integrating this with tools to manage human resources, work scheduling, installation, fleet management, material planning and finances. Thus, leaving an opportunity for Thrasher Group to leverage IFS technology to further enhance their customer service while reimagining their back office processes.

As a result, with 200+ trucks, trailers and diggers in the Thrasher Group fleet, moving the management of these from spreadsheets into the ERP system provided significant benefits in terms of tracking and operational efficiency.
