Millennials are leading the lifestyle-based trend toward food delivery with a shift in their mindset— one that values utilizing efficiency and convenience to free up the little time that they have. Generation Z, on the other hand, has grown up with smart phones and are apt to embrace new innovations including food delivery technology. Even baby boomers are jumping on the delivery bandwagon. Over the last year, food delivery sales increased by an explosive 33 percent. (1) Why? Delivery is convenient and convenience rules in today’s fast-paced world.
