With GASB 87 effective for year end 2022 reporting, we will discuss action steps to take now. We will also look forward to new accounting standards for software, public-private or public-public partnerships, and compensated absences to facilitate proper planning for implementation. Municipal utilities in Wisconsin must ensure their accounting records facilitate the reporting requirements of the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin annual report and rate making process.  Learn about the PSCW chart of accounts and gain an understanding on the differences between regulatory and GAAP accounting. We will also discuss the different requirements for class AB vs. C or D utilities allowing you to proactively plan for future reporting as your community grows.
