A culture of innovation starts with a mindset that encourages and embraces new ways of thinking from all team members. From embracing disruption, technological advances and upskilling, a culture of innovation creates a workplace that fuels ideas, drives sustainable growth and employee engagement. This concept can be elusive without the integration of strategy, technology, processes and persistence throughout the organization. In this presentation, we will discuss proven strategies to leverage technology, motivate your people to create efficiencies and capture innovative ideas to transform your organization – all to create a sustainable culture of innovation that keeps you ahead of the game.

HIPAA and healthcare technology have changed significantly over the past twenty years. Covered entities and their business associates face an ever-evolving risk environment in which they must protect electronic protected health information (ePHI). Healthcare providers are increasingly targeted by cybersecurity attacks, and patient data now commands more than credit card accounts on the black market and dark web. Today, we find a range of compliance issues and tools used to conduct risk analysis when providing services. This presentation will discuss the security rule and OCR requirements of a HIPAA risk assessment and review two industry tools recommended by the OCR.

Care navigation is an organized, intentional focus on patients/residents and care options within their community of care. It places the patient in the appropriate level of care at the right time leveraging diverse business lines offered internally or through external partnerships. This presentation will discuss care navigation models, the challenges and opportunities, the required tools and processes, and identify models for success. Since care navigation spans multiple diverse business lines, any service provider will benefit from this presentation.
