Bossle brings more than 40 years of internal audit and risk management experience to the firm’s higher education and healthcare advisory practices.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (October 22, 2015) – Leading accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) welcomes Frank Bossle, former executive director of the Office of Hopkins Internal Audit, to the firm’s advisory practice.
“Frank’s extensive experience with high performing internal audit functions and effective risk and compliance management will further strengthen Baker Tilly’s ability to bring innovative and impactful solutions to our higher education and healthcare clients,” said Raina Rose Tagle, Baker Tilly’s higher education risk and advisory services leader.
“Offering the insights and perspectives of a seasoned internal audit leader of this caliber will help our clients realize the value of an integral and strategic internal audit partnership focused on resolving daily challenges and issues,” Rose Tagle added.
Bossle served as an advisor to the Board of Trustees and institution leadership of Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Health Systems for more than 15 years. His role included oversight of all internal audit activities for a complex institution with combined revenue of $9 billion and an endowment of $3.5 billion. Prior to Johns Hopkins, he served as vice president for internal audit at United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company.
Bossle, a CPA, began his career with Johns Hopkins by merging two audit departments and creating an effective shared services model that was later replicated in other areas across the university. On his departure from Johns Hopkins, he was commended by the board for providing outstanding service, advocating effective risk management, and adhering to the highest standards of excellence.
“I am excited to join Baker Tilly and share my many years of internal audit experience,” said Bossle. “Newly raised expectations for colleges and universities, as well as healthcare entities, make it even more important to have quality risk management and internal audit services. I look forward to sharing my experience about how to do so with Baker Tilly clients.”
