SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (April 13, 2017) – Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) Principal and International Growth Services Practice Leader Jeff Jorge delivered the keynote address at the Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) Legal Issues Council on Tuesday, April 11.
During his program, Jorge discussed rising trade pressures due to the shifting sociopolitical landscape and outlined proactive measures automotive organizations can take to future-proof their businesses to stay ahead of the market.
“I value our ongoing partnership with the OESA and am delighted to once again be a part of their council agenda.” Jorge said. “Given the rapid changes in the global economy, we have experienced a rise in the demand for strategies and tactics to address the fluctuating market, particularly in our automotive practice. Businesses are feeling the pressure to make the right decisions given the massive changes both domestically and abroad.”
As the leader of Baker Tilly’s international growth services practice, Jorge and his team offer turnkey international market support and on-demand trade advisory services to companies operating in domestic and foreign markets. Recently, Jeff played an integral role in the launch of Baker Tilly’s’ Center for the Return of Manufacturing (CFRM) – a resource established to help U.S.-based middle market manufacturing companies execute their strategies by initiating or returning operations to the United States and unlocking export and revenue growth opportunities abroad.
The OESA is a non-profit trade association committed to championing the business interests of the automotive supplier community and addressing the concerns of their 430 member organization. The OESA CFO Council works to address common financial management issues within the supplier industry. Members explore a wide range of strategic risk and compliance issues.
