MINNEAPOLIS (October 24, 2016) – Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is pleased to announce that Laura Fries, managing director and executive vice president of Baker Tilly Executive Search, LLC, was awarded Derham Hall High School’s 2016 Carondelet Award at the school’s annual alumnae awards dinner. The award honors a woman who has attained eminence in her field.
Fries, class of 1980, has been a recruiter and executive search consultant for more than 20 years, helping Fortune 500 organizations, mid-cap companies and private or family-owned businesses across the country hire senior executives. In 2014, she joined Baker Tilly with the task for developing, launching and leading an executive search practice within the firm’s business consulting arm.
Fries is a recognized thought leader in her field and writes a monthly online column for the Business Journal on trends in executive search and has also authored several whitepapers on talent acquisition.
An active member of the community, Fries serves on the board of directors for Como Friends, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to keeping Como Park Zoo and Conservatory free to the public, and WomenVenture, an organization that promotes economic development and job creation by supporting women entrepreneurs.
