The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) has announced that Shanté George has been selected for ABI’s “40 Under 40,” which recognizes 40 of the top insolvency industry professionals under the age of 40.

George has consulting experience in the areas of bankruptcy, financial and operational restructuring, transactional due diligence and forensic investigations. She has extensive experience advising companies, unsecured creditors, lenders, trustees and examiners in both bankruptcy and out-of-court proceedings and manages the day-to-day aspects of engagements, including challenging and leading large teams in conducting complex forensic and financial analyses relating to the evaluation of potential causes of action, Ponzi schemes, asset-misappropriation and tracing, earnings manipulation, and other forensic-accounting matters.

George also assists in the preparation of expert reports, the discovery process, and in preparing experts for testimony and trial. She has also provided testimony at trial in connection with a bankruptcy matter involving alleged fraudulent transfers in the Southern District of New York.

The “40 Under 40” winners are distinguished by professional achievements and service and were selected by a group of experienced professionals from ABI’s current leadership. Nominations were submitted via the initiative’s website, through which professionals nominated themselves or a colleague. Membership in ABI was not required, and more than 200 candidates were evaluated. Those selected were chosen from both large and small firms from every region of the country, and represent diverse practice areas such as law, finance, accounting, consulting, academia, government and more.
