Susquehanna Health is a four-hospital integrated health system in north central Pennsylvania. Upon re-evaluation of their investment in core service lines, they sought to sell The Meadows personal care facility in Montoursville, Pennsylvania to a partner with a similar mission and charitable legacy of compassionate care.

Baker Tilly Capital worked as a close advisor to Susquehanna Health during the sale of The Meadows. Members of our experienced mergers and acquisitions team provided valuable analysis and assistance throughout the transaction. As the sale side advisor, our activities included managing a targeted sales process that generated multiple expressions of interest for The Meadows. We also provided guidance in evaluating the terms and conditions outlined in the expressions of interest.  

Results achieved

The Park Home, Inc., a not-for-profit organization based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, acquired The Meadows on January 1, 2015. As part of their partnership with The Park Home, Susquehanna Health will continue to manage the facility and provide day-to-day operational and clinical oversight for residents.
