Construction fraud and construction risk

- Construction fraud has become a regular news item. Last year the U.S. put in place $802 billion of new construction and fraud cost owners an estimated $40.1 billion. Fraud increases your construction costs, erodes stakeholder confidence, and makes future project financing even more difficult. The sources of fraud grow every day including from inside your own organization. Compliance with policies and procedures alone may not provide the level of assurance to ensure that you are maximizing the value of your construction dollars. In this session we will discuss identifying potential fraud sources, preventing fraud with project controls and how a good project controls program can yield a 400% return on investment.
