Baker Tilly is a member of Wisconsin Collaborative for Affordable Housing, which consists of community-based organizations, private concerns, government agencies and advocates dedicated to promoting the development and preservation of affordable housing in Wisconsin. In addition to our membership, we've been involved in the organization's A Home for Everyone conference for more than 10 years, and will continue our involvement in 2017 as a Raising the Roof sponsor!

Each year, Wisconsin Collaborative for Affordable Housing holds a contest with local fourth grade students encouraging them to design the best tagline and logo for the conference. This year's winning tagline is "Making Housing a Priority" (see logo below), which will be placed on each conference attendee bag.

Our Raising the Roof sponsorship includes:

  • Donation of the "Making Housing a Priority" attendee bags
  • Don Bernards, Partner of Affordable Housing, is speaking on Low Income Housing Tax Credit Case Studies: Making Deals Work in Uncertain Times
  • Exhibit booth – come visit with us!

We'd love to see you in LaCrosse! Register here >

LIHTC Case Studies: Making Deals Work in Uncertain Times - July 20 from 9:45 – 11 a.m.

The U.S. economy has come a long way since the Great Recession, and many rental markets in Wisconsin are strong. Developing affordable housing, though, is not business as usual. Increasing interest rates and increasing construction costs, coupled with post-election uncertainty in the LIHTC market, have challenged affordable developers to structure and close deals. Come hear fellow developers talk about how they are adapting to new economic stresses in their affordable deals.
