Jeremy Bivens, a partner with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, joined the firm in 2013. He has more than seventeen years of experience providing tax and business advisory services to middle-market and large companies. Jeremy has extensive business advisory experience in areas such as manufacturing and distribution, food and beverage, professional services companies, software and technology, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring transactions, state and local tax credit opportunities as well as overall business development assistance. He actively assists in providing due diligence and transactional support services for a variety of strategic buyers. Jeremy has spent his entire career in public accounting and was most recently a director at an international public accounting firm, prior to joining Baker Tilly.

  • Provides tax controversy assistance for IRS as well as state jurisdictional tax matters

  • Performs transactional based tax planning regarding corporate restructurings
  • Supports companies as they comply with financial statement requirements established under FAS 5, FAS 109, and ASC 740
  • Identifies tax credits and incentive prospects as well as assists in the proper securing of those opportunities
  • Leads tax engagement teams serving a variety of companies including manufacturers, distributors, professional service entities, family owned businesses, and shareholder/partner tax matters
