Cameron Reid, director in the government contractor solutions consulting group, has more than 25 years of experience working with government contractors and commercial manufacturers of all sizes regarding manufacturing and supply chain processes and technology. Prior to joining Baker Tilly in 2015, he was a senior leader in a global consulting firm focused on global supply chain management, technology implementations, business process improvement, strategic sourcing and operational management both domestically and internationally.

  • Project manager and subject matter expert for Deltek Costpoint implementations and process optimization/improvement efforts. Industries focused on defense contracting and aerospace. Served as manufacturing and supply chain subject matter expert.
  • Architect of Transformation Management Office (TMO) for a large government contractor. TMO was focused on aligning business needs and processes with the technical capabilities of Deltek’s Costpoint ERP system.
  • Project manager for Plex implementations throughout Europe. Specific country deployment included Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Managed full life cycle deployments including planning, data conversion, testing (unit, system and user acceptance), deployment and support. Functional responsibilities included program management, finance/accounting, supply chain, EDI, procurement, and demand management.
  • Engaged as project manager for multiple ERP implementations and custom system deployments. Utilized both waterfall and agile (Agile, SCRUM, RUP/UP, Evo) approaches based on the specific client environments and disciplines. Testing cycles focused on Unit Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Established strategy and methodology for global sourcing projects. Established data analytics and metrics for engagements. Conducted and trained personnel on supplier identification and screening methods. Managed $1.5 billion in client commodity spend resulting in over $200 million in annualized savings across multiple clients.
  • Led a LEAN deployment for third-party fulfillment organization focused on defense contracting supplies. This resulted in 92% efficiency gains in bagging operations.
  • Led a Six Sigma deployment focused on manufacturing and warehousing activities for a tier 1 aerospace company. Results included a 45% improvement in warehousing efficiency.
  • Utilized Lean Six Sigma approaches to achieve a 30% reduction in inventory while maintaining production rates and on-time delivery metrics for a heavy equipment manufacturer in the mining industry.
  • Managed multiple product design, global sourcing and supply chain initiatives for small clients bringing new products to market. Responsibilities included initial product design, operations management, manufacturing network design and implementation, global sourcing and global supply chain management, including import/export and taxation optimization efforts.
  • Led an ERP system implementation of Supply Chain, Human Resources, Payroll, and Finance modules for multiple hospital systems under one Integrated Delivery System. Responsibilities include project management, relationship management, data conversion and process improvement, to not only ensure a successful implementation but also improve upon patient care metrics through the better utilization of inventory management principles.
  • Project manager for multiple global implementations of ERP and CRM systems. Locations of facilities included Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Responsibilities included global project management, process improvement and change agent as well as assuring adherence to local regulations and government reporting requirements.
