Adrienne is a principal in Baker Tilly’s risk advisory practice, with more than 17 years of professional consulting experience. Adrienne specializes in providing services to higher education and research institutions, working with clients to provide guidance in the areas of internal audit, risk advisory, enterprise risk management, sponsored research compliance and fraud investigation related services. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, she worked in sponsored research at Temple University, the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University.
- Manages several internal audit engagements for a variety of higher education clients to assess efficiency of operations, accuracy of reporting and compliance with federal, state and local regulations in areas, including Title IX, Clery Act and student safety, conflict of interest, institutional data reporting, international programs, procurement cards, school/department-level operations
- Has managed multiple organizational enterprise risk assessments and led the creation of report and audit plans to address identified risks and challenges
- Industry and professional experience consulting with higher education and research institutions and not-for-profits sponsored programs design, cost allowability, sponsored research compliance issues, business process and organizational design, internal audit and fraud investigations
- Has managed several engagements in assessing the design and effectiveness of sponsored research and grant accounting processes related to the pre- and post-award administration of federal awards
- Additional experience includes research development and procurement, pre- and post-award grant administration, sub-recipient monitoring, effort reporting, export controls, conflict of interest, human subject and animal care compliance
