Institutional challenge A university wanted to strategically assess whether its research management infrastructure was sufficient and scalable to support the university’s goals and growth strategy. Capabilities provided Baker Tilly assessed the university’s current research management infrastructure by preparing a gap analysis of the university’s policies, procedures, and processes for the administration of sponsored projects and research. We presented the university with industry best practices for allocating facilities and administrative costs, and developed recommendations for improvements to close identified gaps.
